In the last couple of weeks or so, countries have put on a tough resolve to control the spread of the pandemic. But while the world puts on an aggressive fight to solve this health crisis, economically, the pandemic has immensely affected the low -income sectors in developing countries. Hivos East Africa through its Women@Work Campaign commissioned an assessment to determine the implications of COVID-19 on women workers in Kenya and Uganda’s horticultural sector.
We invite you to have an online discussion on some of the findings of this assessment regarding existing gaps in the industry and good practices adopted by some enterprises to support the workers.
