Joanita Davina Kako – Feminist and Transformational Leadership Manager

Joanita is a dedicated feminist, passionate about young women’s leadership development. She is the current Feminist and Transformational Leadership Manager. Joanita has spent most of her career espousing the cause for gender equality and women’s empowerment in different women’s organizations both in Uganda and abroad. Abroad, she has volunteered with Rape Crisis Scotland and worked with Webhelp UK. In Uganda, she has worked with BRAC Uganda Country Office as an Operations Manager, Centre for Women in Governance as Programs Manager for the Women’s Leadership Development Programme and the Inter – University Council for East Africa as an Intern.

Joanita is a Mandela Washington Fellow, also holds a Masters in Equality and Human Rights from the University of Glasgow through a British government scholarship, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management from Uganda Management Institute and a BSc Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Makerere University. She is currently undertaking a Masters degree in
Management Studies from Uganda Management Institute.
