Hazel Birungi is a feminist, lawyer and writer. The two things that keep her awake at night are women and their economic justice, especially tax justice and financial inclusion. A YELP fellow, Hazel is a blooming researcher who is interested in exploring the nexus between gender and tax.
Hazel has three years of experience working with youth and communities attained through her time at university. She has worked with organizations such as The Public Interest Law Clinic, The Network of Public Interest Lawyers, Chapter Four Uganda, Tax Justice Network Africa and The International Centre for Tax and Development.
