Grace is a feminist lawyer with over seven years of experience working on gender justice advocacy. She is currently the Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) Programme Officer at Akina Mama wa Afrika. In previous roles, Grace has supported women’s access to justice through legal aid and alternative dispute resolution and engaged justice system actors like police, prosecutors, and judicial officers to effectively respond to violence against women and girls. During this time, she contributed to the development of knowledge products for the Police and a multi-sectoral training manual on effective response to VAWG. Grace has also deeply engaged in feminist organizing by coordinating the Domestic Violence Act (DVA) Coalition- a consortium of over 30 women's rights organizations advocating for reform in laws and policies for ending Violence against women. Grace envisions a gender-just and inclusive world where we can all thrive despite our diversity. Grace is an enrolled advocate with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice
from the Law Development Center- Kampala. Grace loves plants, dancing, and African- authored books.
