Women@Work: An Exhibition of the Women’s Foils and Triumphs in the Workplace

Women’s history month, and International Women’s Day in particular, presents opportunities to examine and reflect on the progress made in the realization of women’s rights across a raft of issues. 2020 in particular carries great significance in this regard as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a framework against which we can measure progress in the battle for women’s liberation.

Akina Mama wa Afrika is convening an exhibition titled Women@Work: An Exhibition of the Women’s Foils and Triumphs in the Workplace to showcase the experiences of women in the world of work. The exhibition running from 6th to 8th March will close on Women’s Day in celebration of achievements women have made in the workplace and also with renewed commitments towards changing policy and practice for decent work for women. The exhibition will showcase pieces that depict women’s strength, resilience, achievements, vulnerabilities, exploitation, and other challenges in the workplace.
