Alberta Boston Mammah – Treasurer

Alberta originates from Sierra Leone and is currently based in the United Kingdom.

She holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Sierra Leone, a post graduate qualification in Business from the South Bank University in the UK and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in England and Wales.

She has worked at senior levels at a range of public and private sector organizations in the United Kingdom and is currently involved in freelance training and international consultancies in Finance and related subjects across the private, public and voluntary sectors.

Alberta has had in excess of twenty years management experience and provides support and advice to Boards of Directors and charity trustees on various strategic matters including ways of improving their financial reporting systems, structures and procedures and in the upskilling of finance staff.

She also has experience as a visiting lecturer and examiner at various institutions across the UK and most recently been involved in delivering the finance module of a Management and Leadership course for managers and directors in the further education sector. Her passion for education, coupled with a relentless burning desire to make a difference in her community, has led her to focus her energies on developing her fellow African women. She is inspired by African women who have achieved success despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles and seeks to emulate those women dedicating their lives to breaking down the barriers facing African women on the continent and in the Diaspora.
