Abir Ben Romdhane is a Natural Resources Management expert with a focus on water, environmental, and sustainable development with extensive experience in environmental and water policy advice and management in Africa. Ms. Romdhane graduated from the University of Tunis El Manar (UTM), as a geosciences engineer with a specialisation in water engineering and she also obtained a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from the University of Tunis El Manar (UTM in 2019.

Ms. Romdhane has over seven years of professional experience, which includes large interdisciplinary field research, multi-country, and multi-site research program management. She has worked in the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) since 2015 on a range of issues such as biodiversity, water management, environmental assessment, climate finance, desertification, and SDGs.
